“Ek is a preposition which means "out of," peirazo means to tempt, to test, or trial. In other words, what he's saying is you cannot draw God out, you cannot tempt God, you cannot test God, you cannot prove God. Now, this statement, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God," was in response then to a suggestion by Satan.”
