“I had rather be a Jedediah Strong Smith in the mountains, in the worst environment, with the worst companions, holding fast the faith of Jesus Christ, than to be in the midst of a lukewarm, ignorant, and apathetic group of Christians. We need to learn to hold fast, to stand for truth, and not let circumstances, situations, environments, companions, people hinder us from that which we know is right.”
